Europeans Throughout The World - ETTW is a
non-governmental federation of national associations
for residents abroad. Founded in 1984 under Belgium
private law (of 25.10.1919) with statutes published
in the Official Journal of Belgium (Moniteur Belge,
Belgisch Staatsblad 9.2.1984, 8.4.1993) its objectives
are:

- To foster the development
of associations of citizens residing abroad and
to promote the international collaboration between
such associations
- To promote the acknowledgement
of the Rights and Obligations of the European expatriates
by disseminating information and by performing studies
and joint activities in the spirit of the European
Union
- To act as spokesman and
defender of the European expatriates towards all
authorities, nationals and Europeans
- To contribute to international
life, bringing people together

Europeans
Throughout The World - ETTW, based in Brussels,
is governed by a General Assembly and a Board while the
President and the Secretary General is in charge of the
management of the association. The financial resources
stem from the membership fees, subsidies from European
and national bodies, gifts and other income. Sponsoring
bodies may enter a committee of donors.
In short Europeans Throughout The World - ETTW
serve the more than five million European nationals living
in Europe in another country than their own and the tens
of million Europeans living around in the world. They
gather 12 Member Associations being national non-governmental
associations who serve in a multitude of ways the interests
of nationals living in another country than their own.
